Swine Flu

As more and more reports come in on swine flu deaths, we as drivers need to be aware of the symptoms. They are similar to that of regular flu. We have recently lost one driver to swine flu and we need to make sue it doesnt spread thru us. As drivers we go thru many states, stop at truck stops, rest areas, and shippers and receivers. We have direct contact with alot of potential carriers everyday. Your mom always told you to wash your hands, well nows the time to listen. Keep a bottle of hand sanitizer on your truck and close by. when you go into a truck stop wash your hands before you eat and sanitize them when you return to your truck. They also have a sanitizer spray for paper. It wont get it wet, but it will kill the germs. How many times have you seen a shipper or a receive cough or sneeze and hand you back your papers before he cleans his hands. Wiping them on your pants dont clean them. We dont know if this will be as wide spread and dangerous as they predict, but why take the chance? As always stay safe and keep those wheels rollin' -- Backlash
